One of the main objectives of our work is to provide the best possible solutions to softball parents.

We shoot for softball tips that are actionable.

How do we give advice without being overbearing or how to we give guidance and motivation while avoiding burn out.

Does this sound familiar?

You try to give hitting advice. She doesn't listen.

You try to say the right words. You don't get the response you're looking for.

You try to be a better softball parent but end up putting more pressure on your player.

Some of the action steps that softball parents can really take really come down to simply making sure your kid knows that they are being supported unconditionally.

No strings attached. Simply unconditional support.

Whether they're hitless or 4-4- with two doubles, a home run, and a triple.

This is about making sure they know that as a parent, you love them and you love watching them play.

Trust me - we both know, no one wants to be "that" parent.

You know which one I'm talking about. The one with no filter and no self-awareness.

How to put it into action?

A SoftBall Hitting Tip For Softball Parents

“During the game—cheer for your kid.”

During the ride home - ask them about how they feel about their performance, good or bad.  End it on a positive.

When you get home - drop it. Leave the game at the front door.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

If this is about using softball as a tool develope a responsible adult - then never forget this point...

...they have to know you care before they care what you know.

Like baseball, softball is a game of failure. How your kid responds to it will dictate how far they make it in this game, period.

Remember: Dealing with failure in softball is what will separate your player from their competition as well as teammates they will compete against for playing time.
